Thuy Linh started judo when she was 7 years old, and is currently a nikyu competing nationally at 48kg. Along with being a shiai competitor, Thuy Linh is also a regional referee and competes in kata with her partner and very close friend, Torie Oishi. They are Junior Kata Grand Champions. In the past few years, her growing love for judo and support from her judo family has allowed her to improve and become more involved in the judo community. In 2015, she qualified to compete at the Cadet World Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia and was ranked number 1 on the USA Judo National Roster. While juggling AP classes at her local high school, Thuy Linh continues to train and improve her judo. She aspires to compete at an elite level, and hopes to be an inspiration to younger judokas who would like to not only become better judokas, but also humble people.
